Engraved Syainless Steel Plaques

Stainless steel is very hard and difficult to machine so we usually use
a process called acid etching. This process involves screen printing an
image of 'acid resist' over the plaque, leaving the areas we want etched
exposed. The plaque is then placed in an acid bath and the image is etched
into the plaque. We can get much finer detail with this process than we
can with casting or engraving but we are limited in the depth we can achieve.
Stainless steel is a very durable material but is suseptable to showing
finger prints. These plaques are very good however if you are looking
for a plaque with a silver coloured background that is able to withstand
harsh conditions.
